Welcome to the first empowerment self defence program in Australia. Our innovative 6 week program, teaches more than physical skills, our experienced teachers also train participants in awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation and safety strategies. Over the course of 6 weeks, students will learn the following:
- Theory of self defence, principles and statistics;
- Warm up’s
- Basics martial art movements;
- Self defence drills – different techniques, choke hold, locks, arm bars, mat work;
- Self defence practice with partners;
- Assertiveness training – de-escalation and verbal skills;
- Body posture – fighter stare, power walks;
- Confidence – it might sound silly, but it’s everything!
- Preventative strategies, boundary setting and awareness;
- Cooldown techniques and meditation.
